HOW TO GET TO IQUITOS
Iquitos is in the middle of the Amazon and has no road links to the rest of the country. You can arrive either by plane or by boat.
Boat The boats have very basic services and there are no scheduled departures.
It takes between 2 and 3 days from Yurimaguas and 5 to 6 days from Pucallpa, depending on the rainy or dry season.
Plane : For those with a few days to spare, there are direct flights from Lima at reasonable prices.
Inti Eco Lodge is located about 60 km from Iquitos, on the Iquitos–Nauta road. Due to our isolated location in the Amazon, the journey to the lodge is made by two steps: by road to the Itaya bridge, then by boat to Inti.
You have two options:
Public transport – Bus
Shared minivans leave from downtown Iquitos since Jaen Transport towards Nauta. Ask to get off at Itaya Bridge (km 57).
The trip takes about 2 hours and costs about 25 soles per person, luggage included.
Private transport – Taxi
We can also arrange a private taxi from Iquitos airport or your hotel as far as the Itaya bridge.
The trip takes about 1h 15m. The reservation must be made with us. at least 5 days in advance so that we can organize your transport.
Indicative rate: 180 soles per trip / 360 soles round trip.
From the Itaya Bridge, our boat is coming to pick you up to go directly to Inti Eco Lodge.
Count about 1.5 hours of sailing on the Itaya River.
Boat fare: 150 soles per trip / 300 soles round trip.
The boat must imperatively be booked and organized in advance with Inti Eco Lodge.
Transportation to Inti Eco Lodge is not included in the accommodation or retreat price. The indicated rates are subject to change.
